The Huaraches are made with the minimum amount of materials and the simplest possible design.
They are handmade one by one, taking a lot of time.
The sole may be a little warped due to the characteristics of the material, and there may be small scratches, prints of the product number, etc., but please understand in advance that there are no problems with use.
Outsole
The outsole is Vibram® MORFLEX, which is characterized by moderate elasticity and shock absorption, and is a compound based on EVA foam and natural rubber, a super lightweight material weighing only 35% of conventional rubber.
Although 10mm thick, a single pair of size 25cm weighs only 63g.
The material is flexible and easy to bend. The back side of the toe portion is slightly shaved to prevent snagging.
Laces
The string itself is not elastic, but by twisting it, it has some elasticity.
The laces are a single piece of string. You can adjust it freely according to your foot.
Once you have decided on the correct position, tie a knot at the outer end of the clasp. You can change the position of the clasp by pulling out one piece of string. (Fine adjustment can be made by moving it up and down.)
Although the cord is very strong, it may fray if pressure is continually applied to it. Once positioned, be sure to reinforce the part of the string that touches the ground with ShoeGoo or similar material.
If the string is long, cut it to an appropriate length and sear the tip with a lighter. (*Be careful not to burn yourself.)
About size
Please choose your usual shoe size.
(In some cases, your toes may protrude, but for running, you will be better off with a size that is just right. (You can adjust the position of your foot back by extending the heel strap a little.)
If you are using them for daily wear, you can choose one size larger.
Cautions for use
Please do not run long distances at first, especially if you normally wear cushioned shoes.
Please start with walking and as your feet become accustomed to the shoe, start running and gradually increase the distance.
If you experience muscle pain or other soreness, discontinue use and resume after the pain subsides.
The plastic clasp may break with use, please be aware of this beforehand.
However, by the time it breaks, the position of the string should be fixed, so please remove the broken clasp and tie the string directly to the clasp.
Care Instructions
The wararchi shoes can be hand washed with lukewarm water or brushed lightly. If using a detergent, use a diluted neutral mild detergent and rinse thoroughly.
Do not use a dryer or dry the product at high temperatures.
Avoid drying in the sun, and dry in the shade where it is well-ventilated.
After 1,000 km or so, the Vibram sole will gradually become more and more like the shape of your foot and your one-of-a-kind Huaraches will be complete.
The soles are durable enough to run over 3,000 km, with a light running step.
